High entropy alloys

High-entropy alloys (HEAs) are substances that are constructed with equivalent quantities of five or more metals. These alloys are currently the focus of significant attention in materials science and engineering because they have potentially desirable properties. Prior to the existence of these substances, alloys consisted of only one or two base materials, or base metals. For example, improvements were added to iron, thereby creating an alloy, which then belonged to the iron based family. The same with aluminium. Hence, high entropy alloys are a novel material.
