Chocontá is a municipality and town of Colombia in the department of Cundinamarca. In the Chibcha language of the Muisca, Chocontá means: "Cultivation of the good ally"/"Garden of the neighbour". It is located on the Pan-American Highway. In 1938 Chocontá had a population of 2,041.
