刚果河（刚果语：Nzadi Kongo，林加拉语：Ebale Kongó，斯瓦希里语：Mto wa Kongo，法语：Fleuve Congo）是非洲中西部最长的河流，全长4640公里（以谦比西河为源头），名列全非洲第二位，仅次于尼罗河，是世界上第九长的河流。刚果河流域面积达401万平方公里，若按流量计算，刚果河是仅次于亚马逊河的世界第二大河，平均流量达4万立方米每秒以上，历史最大流量曾达8.1万立方米每秒。其干流流经赞比亚、刚果民主共和国、刚果共和国和安哥拉。刚果民主共和国和刚果共和国均以刚果河为名。1971年至1997年期间，刚果民主共和国称为扎伊尔，当地语言中意为“河流”，当时该国政府称该河为扎伊尔河。

The Congo River (also known as the Zaire River; French:(le) fleuve Congo/Zaïre; Portuguese:rio Congo/Zaire) is a river in Africa. It is the second largest river in the world by discharge (after the Amazon), and the world's deepest river with measured depths in excess of 220 m (720 ft). The Congo-Chambeshi river has an overall length of 4,700 km (2,920 mi), which makes it the ninth longest river (in terms of discharge, the Chambeshi is a tributary of the Lualaba River, Lualaba being the name of the Congo River upstream of the Boyoma Falls, extending for 1,800 km). Measured along the Lualaba, the Congo River has a total length of 4,370 km (2,715 mi). It crosses the equator twice. The Congo Basin has a total area of about 4 million km, or 13% of the entire African landmass.
