芦苇（英语：Reed），又称芦草、苇草、萑、荻、蒹葭、蔺草，一种草本植物的通用俗名。就像蒲草，许多生长在湿地，长而直，像是杂草一样的草本植物，都被称为芦苇。因为芦苇生长，会产生芦原的景观，它们是保护湿地环境和野生动物的重要植物，许多种鸟类栖息在芦苇丛中。最典型而常见的芦苇，为禾本科的常见芦苇（common reed）。其他如禾本科、莎草科、黑三棱科、香蒲科、帚灯草科的许多种植物，都会被通称为芦苇。

它可用于制作茅草屋顶，当成燃料，或是编织草鞋、草席之用。
