雅歌

雅歌是旧约圣经诗歌智能书的第五卷。雅歌这个名字取自书中的首句：“所罗门的歌，是歌中的雅歌。”根据希伯来文的逐字译法，这个名字是“歌中之歌”，意即卓越绝伦的歌。这样的说法跟“天上的天”——意即天的最高处——有异曲同工之妙。（《申命记》第10章第14节_参）

雅歌与希伯来圣经不同之处，它并没有着墨于以色列的神耶和华和其与子民所订的约; 或是如传道书或箴言般教导智能;相比之下，它以歌颂两性的爱为主：「两人互道称赞，与对对方的渴求，并奉献自身的欣赏。」两人和谐，互相渴慕对方，和亲近的喜悦；耶路撒冷众女子为爱侣组成了合唱团，作为在爱侣爱欲中的观众。

The Song of Songs, also known as the Song of Solomon, the Canticle of Canticles, or simply Canticles (Hebrew: שִׁיר הַשִּׁירִים Šîr HašŠîrîm; Greek: ᾎσμα ᾈσμάτων ā̂isma āismátōn, both meaning "song of songs"), is one of the megillot (scrolls) of the Ketuvim (the "Writings", the last section of the Tanakh or Hebrew Bible), and the fifth of the "wisdom" books of the Christian Old Testament.
