Semitropic (formerly, Semi Tropic) is an unincorporated community in Kern County, California. It is located 10.5 miles (17 km) east of Lost Hills, at an elevation of 256 feet (78 m). The settlement gives its name to the surrounding Semitropic Oil Field, currently operated by Vintage Production LLC.
