国际护卫犬赛 IPO (Internationale Prufungsordnung)是一项竞技犬运动，在审核中参赛者各带一头已按照特定赛制训练好的犬只，人犬队伍进行追踪、服从、和护卫三部份的指定工作，由裁判对每队指导手的训练及犬只的工作性能作出评估计分。

护卫犬赛源于西欧，最早的审核制度Schutzhund由德国的牧羊犬会定立，作为评估德国牧羊犬(狼狗) 工作性能的系统，以用作未来繁殖的参考。Schutz是德文护卫的意思，而Hund即是狗的意思，Schutzhund已有百多年的历史。随着犬只训练技术的进化和运动的普及，Schutzhund现已改名为国际护卫犬赛IPO (Internationale Prufungsordnung) ，并流行于欧洲与北美洲，同时在亚洲和南美洲亦续渐普及。

Schutzhund (German for "protection dog") is a dog sport that was developed in Germany in the early 1900s as a breed suitability test for the German Shepherd breed. The test would determine if the dog displayed the appropriate traits and characteristics of a proper working German Shepherd. Today, it is used as a sport where many breeds other than German Shepherd Dogs can compete, but it is a demanding test for any dog that few can pass.
