The Sardinians, or also the Sards, (Italian and Sassarese: Sardi; Sardinian:Sardos or Sardus; Gallurese: Saldi; Algherese: Saldus; Tabarchino: Sordi) are the people from whom Sardinia, a western Mediterranean island and autonomous region of Italy, derives its name.
