巴黎综合症是日本人在法国巴黎工作或度假时发生的一种精神紊乱状态。2004年在法国精神病学杂志Nervure（A. Viala, H. Ota, M.N. Vacheron, P. Martin及F. Caroli攒写）中被提及，属司汤达综合症的一种。每年估计100万游客中发生该病的比例为“每年一打病例”，少数受痛苦折磨者被遣返日本。

Paris syndrome (French:Syndrome de Paris, Japanese:パリ症候群, Pari shōkōgun) is a transient psychological disorder exhibited by some individuals when visiting or vacationing in a place drastically foreign from their own. It is characterized by a number of psychiatric symptoms such as acute delusional states, hallucinations, feelings of persecution (pe****tions of being a victim of prejudice, aggression, or hostility from others), derealization, depersonalization, anxiety, and also psychosomatic manifestations such as dizziness, tachycardia, sweating, and others. Similar syndromes include Jerusalem syndrome and Stendhal syndrome. The condition is commonly viewed as a severe form of culture shock. It is particularly noted among Japanese travellers.
